Kimberly received her training as a Yoga Therapist from Loyola Marymount University (YTRX) and is certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT). She completed her Clinical Internship with the Simms Mann Venice Family Clinic in Los Angeles, California. She specializes in developing chronic pain management programs for individuals, hospitals and clinics. Kimberly developed a Multiple Sclerosis Yoga Therapy program for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and provides an integrative approach to assist in supporting and managing chronic conditions such as MS, Parkinson’s, Cancer, Heart Disease, Autoimmune illnesses and various other populations.
Having experienced the benefits of Yoga Therapy first-hand, after being diagnosed with a painful illness, Kimberly became interested in extending her practice to help support others who are living with chronic pain, injury and illness.
Kimberly offers private Yoga Therapy programs and teaches weekly therapeutic yoga classes at the Spa at Green Valley Ranch. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher Trainer (E-RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance, a Certified Restorative Trainer through Judith Hanson Lasater, Ph.D., PT. and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). She has trained extensively in Therapeutic, Restorative & Vinyasa (flow) yoga. Combining over 18 years experience with a deep dedication for the well being of her clients, she has become a celebrated yoga instructor throughout the West Coast.
Kimberly’s hallmark is providing options that vary in depth and intensity to meet the individual needs of her students. She is passionate about bringing the therapeutic aspects of yoga to her students. She takes the time in each session, to explore how her students respond to movement and determines what they need in that moment. Her classes allow students to learn how to prevent injuries, heal from common ailments, strengthen and stretch their bodies, as well as improve balance. She provides ways for them to discover their strengths and weaknesses as well as flexibility and tightness. Gaining an understanding of what is happening within the body, physically and mentally, enables us to bring our bodies into balance.
Kimberly also provides training to yoga instructors & assists her teacher Judith throughout the Country. She enjoys sharing her experience with teachers & assisting them in discovering the therapeutic benefits yoga has to offer.
